Our Core Programs

Smart Youth thrives on intergenerational collaboration, fostering mutual learning, skills exchange, and economic empowerment through its three flagship programs.

Ustawi Program (US)

The Ustawi Program is dedicated to equipping youth with practical skills, entrepreneurship training, and access to financial services that foster sustainable income generation and poverty reduction. Through this program, we empower young people to become self-reliant economic actors and contributors to Tanzania’s growth.

Ongoing Projects:

Smart Shule: This flagship initiative equips youth with digital literacy, entrepreneurship skills, and leadership training, preparing them to engage effectively in the modern economy and create innovative business solutions.

Jamii Program (JaPro)

The Jamii Program focuses on strengthening social inclusion, community cohesion, and leadership among youth, women, elders, and persons with disabilities. It fosters intergenerational collaboration, promotes inclusive participation in community development, and supports initiatives that improve the well-being and dignity of marginalized groups.

Ongoing Projects:

SaveElders Tanzania: An innovative intergenerational initiative that addresses social exclusion by positioning elders as mentors and advisors, while equipping youth with skills in digital literacy and advocacy to support elder well-being.

Imarika: A community empowerment initiative that equips adolescent girls, young women, and marginalized groups with life skills, leadership training, and economic empowerment opportunities, enabling them to actively participate in and contribute to community development.
