Saveelders Tanzania

Saveelders Tanzania is an innovative intergenerational initiative that empowers both elders and youth to address poverty, health disparities, and social exclusion. By positioning elders as mentors, cultural custodians, and community advisors, and equipping youth with tools in digital literacy, advocacy, and entrepreneurship, the program builds bridges between generations to create stronger, more inclusive communities.

Imarika empowers adolescent girls and older women in rural Tanzania through menstrual health education, entrepreneurship, and skills training in reusable pad production. Older women contribute cultural understanding and economic advice, while girls lead on innovation, awareness, and advocacy—breaking taboos, generating income, and promoting health equity.
